The Gravel Rose Fund

Mission Statement

The mission of The Gravel Rose Fund is to strengthen and uplift local communities by raising funds and directing resources to individuals, businesses, organizations, and causes in need. While the beneficiaries of our efforts may evolve over time, our commitment remains constant: to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the communities where we live, work, and operate.

Through charitable fundraising, community partnerships, and targeted giving, we strive to bring people together, address emerging needs, and provide support where it can make the greatest difference.

Meet Our Founders

Arend Richard - The Gravel Rose

Arend Richard

Founder | Cirrus Social Club

I'm Arend, founder of Cirrus.

We're not building a cannabis trend. We're building a tradition.

For most of human history, people have used cannabis together—but until now, the world lacked a proper place for it—somewhere that could reach across generations and cultures. No room to walk into. No table to sit around. No one to pour you the equivalent of a glass of wine. Cirrus is that room. Our mission is to get the whole world seshing together—a place you bring the people you love, for generations.

That means we put a lot of care into every detail. Flight Attendants guide you through your sesh from start to finish. The menu is built around single servings—a bowl, a bag, an edible—so you can try something new, and order another round. The food is genuinely good. The room is genuinely beautiful. The energy is genuinely welcoming. Whether you're a sophisticated stoner or someone who hasn't touched cannabis since college, you'll feel like you belong here.

The Cirrus we're building is the one you come back to. For birthdays. For first dates and twentieth anniversaries. For Thursdays after work and Sundays when your parents are in town. A sesh so glamorous and wonderful that even your Nana will love it.

Before I became an attorney, restaurants were my life. And in a lot of ways, they still are.

I spent 20 years in the restaurant industry, working both sides of the kitchen door before heading to law school at 34. My time in hospitality took me everywhere from neighborhood restaurants to the kitchen and galley at McMurdo Station in Antarctica—where I learned that even at the bottom of the world, good food and a shared table bring people together. Restaurants are more than places to eat. They're where strangers become friends, memories are made, and communities take shape.

Eventually, I traded the kitchen for the classroom, earning both a law degree and an MBA. Today, I'm a business attorney, and the most rewarding part of my job is helping small business owners turn ideas into reality, overcome challenges, and build something of their own. Having spent so many years in hospitality, I understand the hard work, sacrifice, and heart that goes into running a business.

I also serve on the Board of the Mile High Chapter of the Colorado Restaurant Association, where I've gained an even greater appreciation for the people and businesses that make our neighborhoods special. I've come to believe that being part of a community means more than simply living or working in it. It means building relationships, getting involved, and finding ways to give back.

That's what draws me to The Gravel Rose Fund. We want to be more than an organization that raises money for good causes. We want to be good neighbors—getting to know the people around us, supporting local businesses, and finding meaningful ways to lend a hand wherever we can.

Because strong communities aren't built through grand gestures alone. They're built by people who care enough to show up. And if we can bring a few more people together and make our corner of the world a little better along the way, that's something worth being part of.

A Colfax Christmas

Supporting Colfax Restaurants

A Colfax Christmas is a party unlike anything else in the world — and the best part? It's for a good cause! Join Cirrus Social Club for an evening of sesh provided by Cirrus, delicious bites from many local Colfax restaurants and live performances from world-class entertainers, all under gorgeous chandeliers and velvet drapery, as we come together to uplift locally-owned Colfax businesses.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 through ticket sales to provide Colfax restaurants with marketing support to help revitalize this beloved Colorado avenue as BRT construction ravages our community.

There's never been a party like A Colfax Christmas at Cirrus, and we can promise beautiful memories that last for years to come. But don't forget — it's Cirrus.
